Most of Carpet Connect rugs are handmade with professional care and to the highest quality standards. To ensure your rug lasts longer, follow the steps below to maintain its longevity and continued quality.
- Scoop up solids and avoid any spills.
- Clean spills immediately. Never rub a spill. Instead, blot any liquids with a dry absorbent white cloth or white paper towel. Use a cold-air fan to dry the surface.
- Do not rub or scrub rugs, as this can cause permanent pile disruption.
- Do NOT use a brush-head vacuum cleaner (check your vacuum head before use). Use light vacuuming only.
- Never apply detergent directly to the carpet.
- Seek professional advice. Do not machine wash.
- Have your rugs professionally dry-cleaned.
- Rug rotation is recommended.
- SHEDDING: New rugs may produce fluff due to loose fibers remaining after the manufacturing process.
Light vacuum regularly, and this will reduce over time.
- BRAIDED RUGS: Occasionally, loose yarn ends of a handmade rug may rise above the pile surface. This is a characteristic of this particular weave. When this occurs, the strands can be safely trimmed to the surface using a pair of sharp scissors.
